How do you tap a keg?

Most kegs do not come with the tap. Also, a different tap will be needed depending on weather it is a domestic of imported brand. As for the method, place the tap over the keg's seal, press down(breaking the seal) and twist counterclockwise thus locking the tap. Pour away!

When i was in college and we had a keg party the kegs came with the taps and we had to return them or we lost our deposit, now they make little kegs that have disposable tap and you just throw the keg and tap away another method is you could buy your own tap.

Usually they do not come with the keg and you usually buy them separately. The person selling you the keg will usually ask you if you want to buy one when you are there. Every keg is different but usually you screw in the tap near the bottom of the keg in a clockwise motion.

To tap the keg you must first place the tap over the seal on top of the keg,then push down on the tap. There are 6 different types of taps out now and most work the same way.
