Try the cheerios in the toilet if it is a boy and try character underwaer for girls. Boys find it fun to aim at the cheerios and girls are hesistant to urinate on their "friends" on the underwear.
I have just got my seventh grandchild potty trained. You can try anything, but until they are ready nothing will be accomplished. They have to want to do it and their mind has to be ready to empty their bladder.
