Well it happens if you click on the cells button and click the underline or you can always press control u.

In formatting tool bar in Excel there we can find the symbol U next to B I. We have to click the symbol U before writing anything. After we click the symbol then we can start typing so the letters we typed will be shown in the underlined form as we need.
