Rehearsal dinners are usually given by the groom's parents for the members of the wedding party. They can be formal but are more likely a more casual gathering of the wedding party after the wedding rehearsal occurs the day before the wedding. Informal invitations are sent to the best man, maid of honor, bridal party and groomsmen.
