Well, the first element you should be looking at is price: how much are you willing to spend? In my opinion, this is the key decision factor: most wiring kits (even cheap Chinese ones) will work fine, but more expensive ones will have better compatibility guarantees.

You need to think about what you will be towing the most. Whatever connection that has is what you will want to have on the vehicle. If you will be towing multiple things with different adapters then buy one of the multi-adapter wiring harnesses.
