How do you reset the anti theft system on a Nissan Maxima?

I need to reset the anti theft system on my Nissan Maxima.

The first thing I would do is remove this question from a place like this. The next thing I would do is take the vehicle to a dealership or authorized mechanic and ask them what their opinion is. I would shop around tho... I wouldnt want you to get screwed in the process

you need the key to do this. so if you havent stolen them youre screwed.read your handbook it tells you how to do it. its very simple. cheers pcm. add a comment

put the key in outside door lock, turn to right (like your unlocking door) this will clear system for reset, put they key in ignition, turn to on (acc) position, leave for 5-10 seonds. turn to off position, then start car add a comment

The problem here is that the "factory" alarm is also part of the door lock system. That means there are 2 ways this is designed to disarm. 1. using the factory key fob transmitter to unlock/disarm. 2. using the key in the drivers door, turn left all the way, then right to unlock/disarm.
