How do you replace chair legs?

When I need to replace a chair leg, I usually do it the easy and cheap way. I do it myself. I purchase a premade leg (Home Depot) that is similar to the broken one and I install it by screwing a long 3" wood screw into the leg, starting from the seat of the chair.

you can probably make them yourself if you have woodworking experience, or you can go to a furniture store and ask if they have any there.
