Replacing a Constant Velocity joint is fairly easy. Locate the joint under the car or vehicle. You'll find it in the middle underside of the car. A wrench would be brilliant for this job. Remove the ball joint and move the spindle hub all the way up. Pull out the trans-axel.

First we have to put the car in the two-post lift ,then we have to Presuming the driveshaft is off the car, hold the drive shaft upright with the cv towards the ground, peel back cv cover and tap with rubber/wooden mallet and the shaft will come out of cv joint.this is the procedure.

Replacing a CV Joint is a difficult process that requires removing the wheel, the disc brake assembly, wheel calliper just to access the joint. Then remove the joint which has a boot surrounding it, and has to be turned in the proper position so you can get it out.

You'll either need a lift or a jack, but you're better off with a lift so you don't have to jack up every tire to get to the cy joint. Once you have access to the wheel rod, the CY joint can be replaced with a lug wrench.

You mean the CV (constant velocity) joint. Block rear wheels, set handbrake. Jack front, remove wheels. Remove axle nut at hub, then remove the ball joint nut from the bottom. Move spindle hub out of the way. Pull trans-axle straight out; no pins hold it in place. Slide new trans-axle in by jiggling and pressure until seated. Reverse disassembly steps.

You are going to want to locate the cy joint under the vehilce of the car. Teh joint is going to be located in the middle under the car. You will need a wrench to do this project.

It is a "CV" joint as in "constant velocity. Since you don't know what it is called I would suggest doing a lot of research. You best bet is to look for a vehicle specific repair manual that illustrates the process step by step. Improper installation of a CV joint can be very dangerous.
