How do you repair a mountain bike?

If you are not a competent bicycle mechanic, bring the mountain bike to a bicycle shop (not a department store), and request a "tune-up", generally around $40-80. Because of the complicated mechanisms involved in shifting, braking, air/oil suspensions systems and bottom bracket/wheel hub bearings, it is not recommended that the "garage floor mechanic" attempt to repair a mountain bike.

You can repaira mounting bike with a special bicyle repair kit. It will have all the tools you need to take care of any repairs.
