If by herpes on your face you mean a cold sore, then your local pharmacy should have a large selection of cold sore creams. They do not go away quickly.
Herpes is a viral condition, so the best thing you can do is keep your face extremely clean, but don't scrub it to the point of rawness. To reduce the redness you can use an anti-inflammatory cream.
Unfortunately, there really isn't to much you can do for herpes on your face. You may just have to wait it out, and wait until it clears up on ikts own.
