Like this: "This is how you quote something," he wrote. Another example: She said, "Words I am quoting go here. " The actual words quoted go inside the quotation marks.

Typically for college you use MLA format. This would include a "quote" (Author last name, pg #). and at the end of the document a works cited at the end. Author last name, first name. "Article Title" Book or Journal in Italics. Date.
