Start by setting up the wickers to form a course. Each player takes turns hitting their ball through each wicket. If you go through the wicket, you get another hit. If you hit the other player's ball, you get to put your ball up against theirs and whack your ball with the mallet. They must continue play from there.

You set up the metal stakes in a pattern of your choice. This is called a course. Then you hit the wooden croquet ball through the metal stakes with the croquet mallet. The winner is whoever completes the course with fewest swings.

Put the hoops and colored stick in the ground to set up course. Players hit their ball through the hoops, around the colored stick, and back. First player back wins.
