Your options are pretty simple if your lock was not a cheap/flimsy one: either break the lock, break the thing it's attached to, or call a locksmith. If you do have a cheap lock, try inserting a thin object with a small curve to the end, and turning it. Or buy another lock and the new key will likely fit.

Use a piece of aluminum can. shape it like a rounded point, insert it around the bar that goes into the lock. wiggle.

Try a paper clip. I have picked pad locks before with the correct shape of a paper clip. Straighten the clip to make it narrow and put it in the hole then move it around.

You don't and you can't. You really have two choices when dealing with today's locks. One is to call a locksmith. The other is breaking the lock. The firs one is expensive, the second is impractical. Padlocks are designed to be nigh unpickable, since protecting important possessions is their raison d'ĂȘtre.

Picking a padlock is extremely difficult. Padlocks are not meant to be picked. You could try to use a pin or bobby pin or a set of lock pics to wiggle around in the key slot, but the easiest way to gain access to whatever is being locked is to either use bolt cutters or contact a locksmith.

If you have a pad lock without the key unless you are a petty thief it may be hard to pick the lock. You could try to use a pin or bobby pin or if you have a set of lock picks handy, but the easiest way to do it is to use bolt cutters.
