How do you make a sugarfree cake taste good?

Mine always come out gummy.

Rather using a sugar substitute, try other ingredients. Natural ingredients could include maple syrup mixed with apple sauce or preserves mixed with a tablespoon of canola oil. Soaked dates or fried figs mixed with soaking liquid in food processor mixed the dry ingredients also works well.Oven temperature should be reduced by 25 degree F.

I should say that a cake being sugar free is not related to being gummy. Please check the exact weights of ingredients of a proper recipe and the oven's temperature.
