How do you make a snowflake centerpiece?

How would you make it stand up?

Choose a snowflake pattern (make your own or look on the internet). Cut out 2 snowflake in thin foam (or thick cardboard). Make a slit on the bottom of one of the flakes. Insert the slitted flake on the of the intact flake. Decorate as you wish!

I would dip the snowflake in heavy starch and mold it to a bowl it get a shape you desire and let it dry.
