Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium sauce pan.
Drop in the outer peels of three red or purple bermuda onions.
Bring back to the boil, boil 5 minutes.
Let steep 25 minutes with the onion peel, then strain.
You may dissolve 1 cup table salt to make a more permanant dye.
makes a wine color.
