How do you maintain the structure of a dresser made in the 20's?

You use cleaning solutions especially made for wood, you can stain it again if the color is gone, you can dust using some anti dust spraying solutions, keep it dry and aired.

The best thing you can do is resecure everything with good screws and then probably sand it down and give it fresh finish with paint or stain.
