First you would need to clean the area thoroughly, by sweeping up any dirt or debris. Secondly, you would need to place the grout down and work in small areas. Once you lay the grout in a manageable section place the tiles down with spacers in between. Once dried, you can complete with a sealant after removing spacers.

In order to lay a tile floor, you lay a concrete board underlayment, then apply a layer of thin set, and then you lay the tile.

Measure width and length of area to be tiled. Mark where lines intersect as starting point. Apply adhesive to floor, butter back of tile. Place a tile in each quadrant.
