How do you know you need contact lenses?

Contact lenses are just replacements for people who do not wish to wear glasses or cannot because of a nose or ear deformity. If you have a corrective lens prescription, and you wish not to wear glasses, then get some lenses. However, you should also have a pair of glasses handy for when your eyes need a rest.

If you already wear glasses that would be the fist sign. The Dr. will let you know if you are a good prospect for contacts. Our office starts fitting people with contacts at the age of 9 and if the paretnts feel they are responsible seven.

The same way you find out if you need glasses. You schedule an appointment with an optometrist (eye doctor) and have your vision tested. If your vision is in good shape they may just send you home but otherwise they'll give you a prescription for glasses or contacts.
