If you buy prepackaged seeds and look at the back of the package it normally will tell you when, depending on your climate and area when a good time to plant them is. Normally you want to fertilize the soil a day or so in advance before you plant anything so you don't disrupt the plants.

Most crops require seeding to be done after the last frost. The seed has to be warm enough to grow. Fertilizing can be done before or after seeding.

It's better to seed your grass during the springtime. Make sure to aerate your lawn first, and then sprinkle the seeds throughout. The next step is to water your lawn because seeds need water to grow. You will then want to wait about a week before fertilizing the seeds in order to get the best results.

Seeding is dependent on which species of plant or tree will be planted. For most plants, this is during the season of Spring, beginning in March. Fertilization should begin 2 weeks into a plants growth stage. This stage begins after the seedling or sprouting of a plant or tree which may last for up to 2 weeks.

You seed every year or whenever the grass seems to be dying off. You are supposed to fertilize at least once a year or right after you plant the seed to help it grow. This of course can vary depending on where you live and what the weather conditions are like.

Most of the time you want to seed and fertilize in the spring or in the fall. Make sure to cover the newly sown seed with straw and water regularly.

For the most part i depends on what time of year it is and what type of plant you are planting. most of the time when you buy the seeds, it will tell you when the best time to plant and fertilize is.
