If after a dog has been mated she will begin to get fatter within 30 days. If she isn't noticably bigger within that time, see a vet.

As with all dogs, the signs are very recognizable and often times very similar. The dog will be more stagnant, meaning she will not move around as much. Jumping and activity will slow, and the dog will eat more food than normal. After all, she has to eat for more than just herself!

The most reliable way to tell if your pug is expecting is to have an ultrasound exam done. The second way would be to have ex-rays taken by your veterinarian. If she is pregnant you will be able to hear the fetal heartbeats around 25-30 days after conception.

The best way to know is to watch her for sudden weight gain. Or you can take her into the vet and they will be able to tell you right away if she is pregnant or not as far as I know there is really no other easy way to do it.

You might tell if your female pug is pregnant, if her nipples swell up. She might have mood swings and start looking bored. She might tend to be less active and will do a lot of laying around. Vomiting and frequent urinating are also common factors in telling if your dog is pregnant.

There are several ways to tell if your dog is pregnant. Some of the common signs are decreased activity & nipple growth. Changes in behavior and possible loss of appetite could also be signs of pregnancy.

You can take her to the vet when the roundness of her belly starts to show, or you can hold off a few weeks and see if you can feel the puppies moving around inside of her, changes in behavior, increased appetite, and a wide variety of typical nesting activities.

Your pug will begin to not move around as much, or stagnate. All kinds of previous vigorous activity will decrease dramatically, and the teats will slowly begin to grow. There will be a quick weight gain as well. You can also have an ultrasound done by your vet.

You should begin to see an enlargement of her mammory glands and she should begin to gain weight and become fatter in the abdomen. She may also become more aggressive.
