If your cat is eating less, interacting with you less or seeking less attention, sleeping more, and hiding under the bed it may be depressed.

If your cat normally seems really happy and playful and is now just moping around the house or sleeping and sad more than usual your Cat would be depressed. It could also be illness so take her to the Vet.

Cat will demand food all the time. It will groom excessively. Inappropriate urinating or defecating. Sleeping lot of hours. It will show signs of anxiety. Aggressive towards people. Highly strung.

The best indication of a depressed cat is a lack of activity, not just sleeping as normally, but in general, no running for food, etc. Most likely, the cat is bored. Try new fun toys and spending more time if they are left home alone; consider getting another cat as well to be a playmate.
