Box colors don't work the way you want them to, at least most of the time. Going to a cosmetic store that is open to the public is the way to go. Buying the color tube and developer there will get you the best results.

Hair dyes pretty much are all the same. Some are made to last through more hair washings. You will have to study the package to see what you want or don't want. Of course, most of the cheaper brands aren't as good as the higher priced. You will have to look at the color to see how it will look.
