I think the key is romantic surprises. If you surprise them, they will surprise you and it keeps things feeling fresh and varied. Take them out for no reason, for example.

Spend some time in the same room working and not having sex and not focusing on them. Desire comes and goes like the tides at the beach. You have to be together a lot so you're right there ready to be grabbed when the tide is high. Patience.
