First, make sure you have correctly placed the card in its slot. To install, insert the CD or download the latest driver from the maker's website and follow the on screen instructions.

Open up the computer case and look for the slot that contains the old sound card, remove that, and then snap the new one in place in the same slot.

Remove the sound card and the supporting materials from the box. Find an empty PCI slot and insert the new sound card.

Sound cards are basically plug and play add-on in your pc. Just plug them and it will run by itself, if not download the driver.

If you have sound device on motherboard, go to BIOS and deactivate it, also remove it too on Windows hardware. Then install card on machine and software from Internet.
