To install Ground Fault Interrupt first cut the power to your house and locate the breaker to be replaced. Connect the GFI circuit breaker after turning it OFF to the matching terminal. Turn ON the power after fitting and Push Test button. If it works properly, the breaker will trip and shut the power OFF. Screw it after testing circuit.

They install the same way regular breaker do into the panel. The circuit must have a dedicated neutral and be connected directly to the breaker. The hot wire will be connected to the breaker on the copper screw and the white pigtail from the G.F.I. breaker will connect directly to the neutral bar in the panel.

A GFI breaker is essentially the same as standard breaker, except it senses and trips on ground faults anywhere in the circuit attached. It's installed like a standard, connecting line power. The circuit is attached by the similar screw terminal. The GFI sense wire is connected to the neutral bus.

A GFI circuit breaker is installed just like a standard circuit breaker but with one major difference -- the neutral (white) wire connects to the GFI breaker instead of the neutral bar inside the breaker box.
