Books about natural remedies say that to increase stomach acid you should swallow a tablespoon of cider vinegar. The drawback of medications that increase acid is that they also can increase bone fractures.

Only your doctor can answer that. The aci in your stomach is somethng that the doctor needs to help you with because if you increase it to much you will end up with really bad bleeding ulcers it will eat the lining of the stomach.

A low hydrochloric acid content in your digestive tract is a serious problem that can lead to problems processing your food. Probably the best way to fix the problem is to change your diet. Try and avoid alchoholic beverages and and sugary sweets, for starters. Do eat, or take, a garlic flavored foods or supplements. This will help.
