How do you identify outliers in your data?

No "exact formula" for identifying outliers. The easiest way is to graph the data in either a scatter plot or bar graph and look for points that plot clearly away from the mass of the data. If you had points of 4,12,13,14,17,13,18,19,and 27 the outliers would be 4 and 27.

Calculate the mean and S. D(standard deviation) of the data Upper limit = mean + 3 * S. D Lower limit = mean - 3 * S. D Now, the values greater than the upper limit and smaller than the smaller limit will be outliers.
