All winter flowering plants enjoy bright, diffused sunlight. Thses plants have a very shallow root system, so they do no need a heavy hand at watering time. They also enjoy being rather cramped in their pots, so as they get bigger,(and they will), keep them snug inside their own pots.

To grow the Thanksgiving cactus plant take 3 stem segment,take sharp scissors cut at joint. Allow them to dry for 24 hours then plant them in moist soil dont water them.

Remember that it is a cactus and wants a lot of sun and not a lot of water. Put it in your sunny window and only water when it is very dry. Use a balanced fertilizer - 20-20-20 - about 3 months before Thanksgiving and then every 10 days.

put it on a clay pot and fill it with an appropriate soil for the cactus plant. since cactus doesn't need much watering, cover the soil with fake moss to keep the soil moist. u can put it under the sun to help enrich the cactus. water it if only it needs watering
