Look at the listing agreement. It will have the details regarding termination, reasons why, timelines, notifications, etc. If you are unhappy with your listing agent, you should first discuss the matter with him/her, and failing resolution, contact the broker for whom he/she works. The listing agreement usually has language requiring that you attempt to resolve the problem prior to termination.

You need to put the termination in writing to your real estate agent. Provide the date you are terminating the listing with the agent and either hand deliver or mail via certified mail to her office.
