Measure your rib cage underneath your chest. If the number is even, add 4". If it's odd, add 5". This is your band size. Measure your chest. Subtract this number from your band size. 1" = A cup; 2" = B cup; 3" = C cup; 4" = D cup.

Measure around yourself under your bust, rounding to the nearest inch. Add 4 to even, 5 to odd. Measure the fullest part of your bust. Round to the nearest number and subtract your first result. 0"-1/2" AA, 1/2" - 1" A, 2" B, 3" C, 4" D, and so on.

Your best bet is to ask a sales associate in a store's lingerie section to measure you. She will measure around your rib cage to get the numerical portion of your bra size, and then measure for your cup size.

The best thing you can do is to go to a retailer that offers bra sizing. It can be very difficult to measure yourself for anything. Some women feel uncomfortable about having someone measure them, but in the end it will help you find the perfect fit. Dillards and Victoria Secrets both offer sizing in-store.
