There are a few methods for killing this weed. You can either use chemicals or you can simply dig the plant up.

You can use Round UP weed killer. Or pour boiling water directly on the weed for a more organic solution.

Digging it up by hand is the natural solution. Atrizine is the best choice of taking dollar weed. Also a product called Image can be used to kill dollar weed.

Avoid overwatering, this is the prime cause, and mulching is a good preventative. The herbicide "Image" is recommended and atrazine is often used- but is very toxic and banned in a lot of locales. Baking soda has been used, but can raise the PH. Best is to prevent or pull.
