How do you go about cleaning saltillo tile?

Sweep the entire floor and rinse with water to ensure you get all tiny tile debris, too. Use a tile cleaner made for saltillo tile. Afterwards, use a polish on tile.

Saltillo-tile is a very-porous variety of terracotta-tile, so your Saltillo-tile should have been coated with a quality surface-sealant when it was installed. When coated with a quality surface-sealant, a neutral-cleaner & damp-mop should be used to mop your floor. Periodically, an acrylic or polyurethane sealant & polish can be re-applied.
