You can't do this with a DVR machine. Contact your cable company, and prepare to pay for the device and a monthly fee. DVRs allow you to record shows, rewind, and fast-forward.

There is no such way to skip the commercials other than changing a different channel. There is no technology till yet introduced.

The most important thing in today's tv shows is to skip a show where there is many commercials occur. For that we have to customize DVR to skip any commercials on our tv shows.
