Call the Orkin man! Or, first determine which type of roach you are fighting. The American cockroach prefers moisture and warmth. Caulk cracks in your house, and keep humidity to a minimum. Google pictures of roaches so you can tell what type you have, and then research that type.

Food that isn't refrigerated should be wrapped in plastic or in plastic containers. Commercial products are available.
