Law rust is a disease and should be treated as such. Cut back on watering the areas infected by the rust. Water only in the morning to allow for the summer heat to evaporate the water. Don't scalp the lawn when you cut it, leave some length to it and keep people off the lawn!

To get rid of lawn rust you would not need fungicides. Make sure you clean your feet or shoes with bleach water if you walk through lawn rust. Best thing to do is cutting water. Give less water and only water lawn in morning letting sunlight dry the extra water. Mow regularly but do not cut the lawn.
