The first method is to keep hot compresses on them until they form a head and can be popped. If you are looking for painless, visit the local pharmacy and ask for 'drawing salve'. It smells foul, but a dab on a bandaide before bed should pull out the puss and the hair. Be warned this can be messy.

Exfoliate the area, then apply benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid or some acne treatment to decrease swelling and redness. Do not pluck the hair out, it will only grow back in deeper than before. Use antibacterial soap or cream(neosporin) to further prevent the area from getting infected again. Prevention is the best cure.

Use a pin to get them out, this might hurt a little but. Once the end comes out you should be able to shave or pluck it.

The best thing to do is to sterilize a needle with alcohol or peroxide and poke a slight hole to release the fluid and the ingrown hair. I do not think there is another remedy.
