Leather can be a particularly hard item to clean at home, that means your best bet is to take it to a professional. Take your leather jacket to a local dry cleaner and they will have it like new for you in no time.

You could try letting it air by hanging it in an area of your home where it wont be in the way. I would suggest taking it to a dry cleaner who works with leather. A dry cleaner would probably know that safest way to take care of the smell without hurting the leather.

Place jacket in a plastic tub with an open box of baking soda for 2 days to absorb the smell, after that lightly wipe the jacket down with water diluted vinegar.

Well this is not easy. I had to put my leather jacket into dry cleaning the first time. The next time I just febreezed it.

I would hang it outside if the weather is cool. Don't spray it with anything. The spray will stick to the leather and you will never get it out.

You can try hanging it outside until the smell is gone. Some say colder weather is better. There are also leather sprays and cleaners that you can get at Walmart. When all else fails, try taking it to a professional cleaner.

I would try airing it out first. IF that doesn't work you could try spraying a little Lysol or Fabreze on it.
