There are multiple ways to destroy your motherboard. The easiest ways to do this are either : Just open up your running pc and throw in a glass of water, this will make your computer shortcircuit, thus destroying the motherboard. Another way of destroying your motherboard is to just put a higher voltage on it then allowed.

Since a computer's motherboard is a matrix of complex ciruitry and holds all of it's start up instructions, there are many ways to fry a computer's motherboard. One is to allow any liquid to enter the case containing the motherboard. Another would be the system's fans not cooling. Finally, Electrical spikes are the most common way motherboards fry.

The fastest but dangerous way, would be to plug a power chord into some of the motherboard's connections. Some motherboards allow to tweak overclocking settings from the BIOS setup, so it might be possible to set the power and frequencies very high, cuasing the motherboard to fry.

This can be done a few ways, but the most common is usually dust. Dust allows the board and circuits to overheat or short out. Other ways are from overclocking which is allowing more power to flow through the board to gain performance. This can cause the board to become hot and overheat.
