How do you fix a pink screen on a television?

A lot of times if the screen is a different color you are going to have to get an expert to look at it. I have had a screen that was pink for years but the cost to fix it is over the cost of the whole television. You can try to fix it yourself at risk

It may need a new light engine or try restarting the memory settings from the tv manual. Check out the AVS Forum for more advice. A technician may need to come in to fix the light engine defect.

If this is a retangular box that appears then I would suggest to look into the fact that you have turned on "TEXT" mode within the "CC" closed caption settings.

Check the color settings try setting everything to the factory settings or adjust to your liking. Another possibility is that the television is set in cinema mode in which the television coloring is given a pinkish overtone to emulate a cinematic viewing

Pink screen can be repaired through various methods. The older sets had color adjustment nobs where as the newer ones use on screen adjustments.
