Filing for unemployment is easier than ever. Most states are now online. Complete a search for the Department of Workforce Development in your state. Once there, find the link to apply for benenfits. Aswer the questions and submit the application. You may be required to then complete weekly certifications.

I would go to your states government site and look for residential on there. Most of the time unemployment is listed under that.

You have to call or go down to the county and file for welfare. After that you will be sent something in the mail about whether or not you qualify.

This depends on which state you are in. Some states allow for an online application while others require that you apply in person in the unemployment office. Check with your unemployment department for your state to see what you are required to do.
