How do you estimate cubic yards of cement?

Answer by  Joanie (156)

First, you must estimate separately the length, the width, and the height of the cement in feet. After this is done, multiply the length times the width times the height. Take that amount and then divide it by twenty-seven. The resulting answer you get equals cubic yards of cement.

Multiply the length by the width by the thickness of the concrete (LxWxT). Calculations may easier if you break everything down to feet or inches then work back up.
