How do you do a case study in psychology?

I have a topic but don't know where to start.

You will need a person who is willing to be studied. Keep clear notes on all treatments and sessions. Document your conclusions after the set amount of time is passed.

Case studies in psychology are often completed with one individual rather than group studies in incidences where a condition or situation is very rare. The researcher may wish to collect baseline data and measure changes over time with that individual, rather than having a control group as in research on groups or populations.

Since you have a topic, the next thing to do would be to look for journal articles and cases that match your topic. You can either go to a library and look through journals or get on a journal site, such as Nexus Lexus, that has the journal articles archived online.
