Determining the value of a business depends on the specific type of business. Often times, the value of a business is a multiple of the company's annual earnings during a specified period of time. Sometimes, the value of a business is determined by valuing the hard assets of the company. A third approach analyzes past transactions of similar businesses.

The two big values are one, your account receivables and the amount of your stock (material) that can be sold.
