There are fertility specialists that will conduct repeat loss testing. On the team will be a hemotologist who should check for blood disorders that may make it difficult to sustain a pregnancy. You will also probably see a reproductive endocrinologist who will work through hormonal disorders that could be causing the problem.

If you're not drinking, smoking or do ingesting anything that could cause a miscarriage and if you're not doing anything too strenuous you may not be able to tell. Most people cannot determine the cause of their miscarriages. If you can deal with possibly having another miscarriage then keep trying to have a baby.

Miscarriages during the first trimester of pregnancy are very common and are usually caused by chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus which you can not control or prevent. However, some women with frequent miscarriages have a clotting problem which their doctor can test for.

There's really no test to say 100% what occurred, but they can test both you and your partner. It could be chromosomal or uterine problems, hormonal or immune system problems.

The best way to determine them is through testing on the fetus manner and your uterus right after the miscarriage.
