Fill a deep turkey fryer with corn, peanut or canola oil three to five inches from the top. Heat oil to about 325°F then lower the turkey in the fryer. Cooking time is about three minutes per pound or until the temperature of the turkey is of 175°F to 180°F.
Be very careful first of all. Never fry a frozen turkey. Make sure it is fully defrosted. Put the turkey in the fryer and fill it up with oil so you know exactly how much oil you need. We use a 3-4 foot pole to slowly lower it in the hot oil without getting burned by splatter.
The bigger the turkey, the more time it will take to cook. Typically, you place in a vat of hot oil and let it cook or simmer in there until done. Sometimes, its best to put in the oven first, and then fry it after.
You'd have to cut the turkey into pieces and then soak them into some kind of powder and this will help you fry the turkey nicely. You can also just bake the turkey with some oil on top.
