The very last day of your last period is where you start to calculate your pregnancy. But, any guess is an educated guess and be off by two weeks.

We say pregnancies are 9 months. But, they are really 9 and 1/2 months long. Clinically, your pregnancy will last between 9 and 1/2 and 10 months typically. But, outside the clinical world, your pregnancy "day zero" was the first day of your missed period.

You can date your pregnancy by the first day of your last period. To find out when you are due you need to count 40 weeks from the date you had your last period.

It is about two weeks from the time of your last period to the day of possible conception. Most doctors add those two weeks to the date of conception, stating that a normal pregnancy lasts 40 weeks.
