Mild cases of cheyletiella mange can be treated by a selenium-sulfide shampoo once weekly for five weeks or by lime-sulphur dips. They can come back if not treated properly.
You can remove the mites when bathing the dog. Bathing with an organic shampoo will help. It is highly contagious, so it is possible the dog can get it again.
