In order to cover wood of any type, you must first figure out the type of wood you are to cover and what type of paper you are using, then you must prime all areas to be cover with a paint primer.

sometimes it works better if paper has a smooth surface to adhere to. this might mean placing a thin type material over the wood or chipboard.
