You simply connect an ethernet cord to the port in the PS3, go to network settings on the XMB, and hit "easy" installation to automatically find the network.

Connect ps3 to lan router using Ethernet cable. Go to network settings from settings menu's. Choose internet connection settings and choose easy to auto detect network. Verify the network settings with router's specifications. Make adjustments if needed then save. Choose text connections to reconnect PS3 to the LAN and Internet.

You must buy a wireless LAN antenna for the system. Once you have that you should be able to connect to the closest network. Make sure that there is an accessible network where you are.

To connect a PS3 to a LAN, just plug in the cat5 (lan) cable in the back. Then, go to "settings", "network settings", and choose the easy option. From there, just verifiy that the router settings are correct, go through all the steps and choose "test connections". This will connect the PS3 and you should be good to go!

For the PS3 pretty much all games that have multi-system compatibility are online games, there are very few with offline support. Either way, you'll need a router for multiple systems.

Well simply connect the PS3 network port to you router or modem with an ethernet cable. You can also set it up to wirelessly connect if you have a wireless enabled router. Look online for detailed guide on how to do it either way with step by step directions.
